Overview
The New Enga Provincial Hospital, located in Wabag, Enga Province, Papua New Guinea, is a landmark public health project supported by the Chinese government and constructed by Guangdong Construction. Covering an area of 34 hectares with over 20,000 m² of hospital facilities and 10,000 m² of staff housing, it is the first newly built modern provincial hospital since the country’s independence. Construction started in 2017, was completed in 2022, and the hospital officially commenced operations in 2025, serving as a key referral and teaching center for the province.
